The premise of this book has me incredibly intrigued. If I'm being honest, however, I'd say the first look was a bit of a turn off. It's entirely too wordy. I really wanted to get to the point. I'm not opposed to a slow build but I don't think this was the most effective approach here. So much of that was just unnecessary. I'd still like to give the book a shot, despite this brief glimpse, in hope that the rest is more satisfying. it is definitely the type of story that calls to me.
