Parker H accounts his time working at a mental hospital in New England and on the first day we learn of a 40 year old man. Anyone who treats this man has killed themselves and the director keeps him confined with minimal contact. Parker of course being the main protagonist decide he must treat this man and cure him, like everyone before him thought but they all committed suicide.
