*Spoilers ahead* It is the beginning of a new school year and Spencer is trying to figure out how to fit in at his new school. When he came out as being transgender at his old school, someone called in a threat to his life at school. Now Spencer is starting over at a private school in Ohio. He joins the QSA and the boys soccer team (behind his parents' backs). He never intends to develop feelings for anyone let alone a member of his soccer team. Spencer fears that Justice will reject him if he comes out because Justice is a member of a very religious family. Then, Justice reveals that he is gay, but in the closet to almost everyone. They start dating after homecoming. Soon after, Spencer is benched because his birth certificate says that he is a female. Spencer wants to fight it, but he is unsure about coming out to his team and his school. What will he do, and will people accept him for who he is?
