I’m giving this book 3 stars because it was short and somewhat unique. But I’m not sure what else to say about it. It’s obviously strange, as is Abby, the main character. I almost gave up on it within the first chapter because it just wasn’t really saying anything. And while things happen in the book, I’m not sure that it ultimately makes any sense. Sure, this is about a woman fulfilling her destiny, but her destiny is just so damned strange, as the rest of her life was. No deep wisdom or thought provoking statements or scenes here, folks.

I agree with other reviewers who pointed out how easy this book was to read, but when I got to the end, I realized I had wasted my time. Was the point to see someone get their comeuppance? To realize that their pain had not been pointless? But I felt that it was.
