The Paper Wasp begins with 28-year-old Abby on a plane to visit get movie star friend, Elise. We learn that Abby and Elise were childhood friends who had driftrd apart by high school graduation. Abby is a cashier who lives with her patents, but she really wants to be an artist. Abby’s thoughts sbout herself seemed grandiose; her behavior possibly manic.
