I think this cover is absolutely gorgeous, which drew me in.
After reading the excerpt, I am unsure of what exactly the plot is trying to convey. The writing of this story is lyrical and full of luscious imagery, which I can appreciate. I don't think the mystery is enough for me to commit to the story.
