I hope my first impression of Laura Acampora's The Paper Wasp is not misleading because her writing captured my attention from the very first sentence. Her writing is electric as she quickly sketches the world we are about to enter. This story of a dark friendship set against the backdrop of L.A. is immediately going on my TBR list!
