I'm really intrigued by both the world-building and the mystery surrounding Maeve's father. I always love reading what authors come up with for their magic systems. I've read and loved a couple stories with writing-based or drawing-based magic, and this one seems really fun! I like the glimpses we've gotten so far of the different elements involved, like inks, parchments, and quills. Of course I don't expect this book will be ALL fun, as clearly we have some tragic backstories for both Maeve and her society. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more!
