I related to this book so much more than I wanted to. I had a boyfriend in early adulthood that had never cut the cord with his mother. (Ironically his name was Adam also). A good relationship with your mother is amazing, but there is a point where a boy needs to grow up and become a man. Preferably that time comes before 30! If you find yourself in a position like one that I found myself in or that Emily found herself in, RUN FOR THE HILLS. You cannot change the situation whether it is him or the mother.

That said, this book had many twists that I was not expecting. It was decent. I did not like the narrator for the audiobook though. The voice was just kind of boring. I would rate this 3/5 stars.

You should/should not read the book because…

I found the book interesting and has a good premise. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of domestic thrillers.
