got a copy of this book from the publishers, Minotaur. I have to say, it is a quick, gooooood read. It sucks you in immediately, and doesn't let you go. Sandie Jones's writing style is phenomenal.

I'm not going to summarize the book in depth; there are enough reviews to do that. This book in a few sentences: Emily meets Adam and falls in love, but his mom is determined to keep them apart. Emily is convinced that it's her...but is it?

I have to say, I figured out WHAT was going on very, very early in the book. But I was drawn in by the writing and the, shall we say, "antics" that Pammie was pulling. How far would she take it? How far down was Emily prepared to go? When would she say ENOUGH? So yes, I knew what was going on, but I didn't know WHY. So I kept reading. And of course, the WHY made it all worth it. The WHY was astounding, and beautiful, and perfect. But in the long run, the WHY wasn't enough to make me grade it higher - I got too bored (for lack of a better term) with the crap Pammie was slinging. So my final verdict is that this book is 3.5 stars (rounded up to four thanks to the gorgeous writing).

Thanks to Minotaur, St. Martin's, and Sandie Jones for the advance copy
