The Other Woman was most of my most anticipated reads in August. So when I won the raffle on Bookish First (I received a free copy of this book), I was thrilled.
Unfortunately, this book just did not do it for me. I found Emily's character to be extremely weak and to be honest for no reason. We were not given enough background really into Emily to warrant the behavior she was willing to put up with. Yes her former relationship ended poorly, but the behavior she was dealing with was not even in the same boat.
By chapter 10, I could figure out where most of the book was going and the ending was not a surprise. It just did not read as a suspense book and when I was turning the pages it was more to figure out if what I guessed was right not so much as a "What's going to happen next."
