The cover is okay. The concept is not for me. I'm not a fan of retellings, and double so when it's a YA retelling. I am just not the demographic for YA. But I did try the excerpt. Sadly, it just didn't draw me in, although I can see many people liking this book with its Shakespearean Twelfth Night flair.

That being said, I can't get past historical inaccuracies, even if the story is fiction. If Arthur existed, he would have lived in the 5th (401 through 500) and early 6th centuries (501 through 600). And although it is assumed, it is not proved that the first Anglo-Saxon cathedral was built on the same site as the current St. Paul's in the early 7th century. While there is some evidence for Christianity in London pre 600 AD, there is no firm evidence for the location of churches or a cathedral during the time period when Arthur allegedly lived. And in any case, the current St. Paul's wasn't started until the late 1600s (completed in the early 1700s). The one prior to that, generally referred to as Old St Paul's (which had a different architectural style than the current one), was begun by the Normans after the 1087 fire and was not consecrated until 1240. Either way, neither would have existed during Arthur's time.
