I really loved the premise of the book so far. I love anything that has to do with orphans and the 1900s so when I saw the cover, I was already hooked. The style of writing was really good, the author has a way of making you feel like you are actually in the story, which is so rare. The book felt fast paced and when I was finished with the preview, I was so surprised I was already done. The character of Pia was such a likable character which is so important when you're reading a book. The character of Bernice was also so likable and what she has had to endure so far has been so sad. To lose her husband and her son is unimaginable. I can't wait to finish reading this book in full, it is one of those books you know is going to be really gooD!!!
