Wow, I was blown away by this sample. Its content is incredibly timely and jarring during our current pandemic status with covid19. I do not normally like historical fiction and expected it to be boring or text book like. I was very wrong. Ellen Marie weisman managed to hook me in the first few lines. She made the disease feel like a dark character itself then Pia's point of view only got better.She used vivid description and increadibly creative writing to allow readers to understand the pain and horror over the virus without dryly describing patients or base facts. I recomend this book.
