As a huge fan of historical fiction, this book immediately jumped out at me. I actually know very little about the Spanish Flu and would love to learn more about it through reading The Orphan Collector.
It definitely seems like it's going to be an intense and emotional read and I cannot wait to see where the story leads. I also loved that it's based in Philadelphia, as I'm born and raised about an hour away from Philadelphia.
Pia is already such a likeable character. She has endured incredible hardships but is trying so hard to stay strong and brave and take care of her family. I am really interested to see how her and Bernice's stories will intersect and intertwine.
