Too Close to Home
An unfortunate story about the 1918 Flu Pandemic (the Spanish Flu) with a hidden theme - the kidnapping of children. In addition, it involves a German family during the first World War when speaking German outside is illegal.
This book comes at an unfortunate time with the world currently in the grip of yet another influenza type pandemic.
The writer, and this is someone I am not familiar with, has a wonderful style of writing. I can almost visualize what is going on.
The premise is interesting, yet frightening in today's time. I'm split on whether I want this or not, given what is currently going on.
