This book, being about the 1918 flu pandemic really hits close to home now and I'd love to read this account to help me stay calm and take my mind off my current reality. I'm so scared for Pia, a young girl on her own, and afraid of what Bernice might do to her. I'm already invested in her story just after a few paragraphs. The cover is hauntingly beautiful too. I think we can all see a loved on in Pia.
