This story reminds me of a cross between The Nightingale and Orphan Train. Historical fictions are all the rage right now, but Pia's story (at least what I've read so far) has stuck with me. I can imagine what her life was like growing up in war-torn Europe, but to wind up in an orphanage on top of that...oh my stars. I would love to read this book.
