It's surreal to sit and read a book about a city-wide quarantine just hours after the governor of my state issued a shelter-in-place order for our state due to Coronavirus. I'm so grateful that the symptoms and death toll of Coronavirus are nowhere near that of Spanish influenza, but it's still a scary, unpredictable time. This is one of those times where reading an exceedingly well-written book can help quell some of the anxiety due to these times.
