I felt all the feelings when reading this excerpt. Especially, hits home right now considering what's currently going on in the world. I am extremely drawn into this story though. I feel like I can feel the same sensations Pia feels, the writing is that effective. Also the magical undertone of this (gift?) Pia has is for sure something I want to explore.
