Jones is described as “the Jordan Peele of horror literature”....I love good horror and a spooky story, but this one was definitely not for me. It was difficult to follow and I found myself not understanding what was going on throughout the book. The characters weren’t introduced enough for me to know who was who, and the descriptions were too easy to get lost in. There was a bit too much hunting and mechanics for my interest. If someone enjoys hunting and fixing motorcycles, they would probably be into this. I could have read through those parts and still enjoyed it... if I understand what was going on. This book was a hard pass for me, but if you like surreal, abstract horror, it’s probably for you.
