Wow, this book was totally not what I was expecting. It started off as a slow burn, and the writing style felt more clipped in places where I would've liked more detail or background on the characters and their relationships. But the ending had me on the edge of my seat. I also liked how the author called attention to the many ways Indigenous people are short changed in society.
I read this and listened to it, which only heightened the experience for me. If you're looking for a truly unique Own Voices thrill, you need to check this one out
