I was really looking forward to reading this book. It sounded like a great horror story but after reading it I am totally disappointed with the story. I am not sure if it is the writing style of Jones or just not a well thought out plot but it just did not work for me. On the "horror" side it was very tame and lame. I would say more "supernatural" than horror. I kept reading hoping it would get better or make more sense but it just never did. A lot of the plot was corny and make little sense. A majority of the book is about basketball, a lot of it really not necessary. But IMO i believe it was to build up to the final confrontation over a basketball game between the "entity" and the daughter. I do not know how that seems like a good idea of how to "out do" the monster after you or why the monster would choose to go that route to seek its revenge, I just do not get it. IMO total waste of time.
