This is one of the types of books I normally like to read. I love horror and suspense novels, particularly those that have paranormal aspects. However, I could not connect to this passage. I couldn’t get into this book during the first impression. I thought the language was kind of hard to follow. I also thought that the passage was kind of rambling and seemed to go all over the place. Granted, this was a rather short look at the book in comparison to many others that I’ve read. I was very excited to read this because it was one of the books that I had heard of. It was even on my list that I wanted to read. After reading the segment, I went and read over some of the other reviews on the Bookishfirst website. It seemed like I was rather alone on being kind of lukewarm on this story. Even though it is mr typical style, I think I will have to skip this book for now
