Stephen Graham Jones writes an emotional Native American horror story that gives the reader all the feels. I loved this book from the very beginning to the very end. There's some folklore here and it made the book, not quite fantasy, but not quite realistic either. The villain in this one is unique as well. There's also human emotion and error, the story is told from the perspective of the not-so-perfect people who set this all into motion. Not to fear horror lovers, there is definitely some blood and gore! This story is horrific, sad, and beautiful. Many people don't like the way Stephen Graham Jones writes, but I have loved everything I've read by him and this was no exception. I found it easy to follow and it was a story full of emotion and it definitely left me thinking long after it was over.
