This book starts out with a young Native American man leaving his reservation after the death of his younger brother. He ends up working in the oil fields of North Dakota. One of the first scenes deals with a bar fight. This is very well written with well developed characters. I thought the author's use of real towns and locations really added to the atmosphere of the story.
