I'm not sure if it's just that the first look cut out part of the prologue for the PDF, but being thrown from Rick at the bar to Lewis so quickly really took me out of the story. The writing is just okay, nothing super special, and the book seems like it could go either way. I'd read more to see what happens to Rick, but I'm not super interested in the characters just in those first 20 pages. I think the cover is appropriately ominous, but I'm not a fan of the font.
