The supernatural edge to the prologue and opening chapter are the perfect subtlety lining that makes horror one of my favorite genres to read. It dances on the periphery, almost daring you to read over the hints of darker and more nuanced terrors to come. Like a real ghost story, it’s a blink and you’ll miss it experience, a did that really just happen type of writing and I am fully on board to read what happens next!!!
