When I first read the title, I expected something totally different. I was thinking it was about missed romantic opportunities, rather than the people who survived a horrific incident. I was immediately drawn into the story. I’ve read a lot of books, but none dealing with the survivors of mass school shootings.

This book takes you into the survivors minds & lives, 12 years after the tragedy. From what was supposed to be the perfect, memorable, coming of age moment, to the most terrifying moments of their lives. The characters are there to tell the stories of that night & find themselves having to relive the memories from so long ago. It also has a nice romantic tone and after all those years, there are things that need to be dealt with. Definitely a must read!
