I'm always iffy with contemporaries, and this one didn't really bring anything new to the table. I did like the characters, but there was some tragedy and people making decisions that could have been prevented. What was good was the writing. The author had some very nice dialogue that held my attention, but I don't know what I wanted exactly. A sweet romance? Sometimes the tragic stuff in contemporaries just feels too real, yet I don't mind it in fantasies. I know that's hypocritical but I guess by being a contemporary, it all feels too real? I don't know, but if you like dramatic and romance, then you'll probably like this one too! Also, it was a quick read for me, and I finished rather quickly!
