This book takes a tough topic, a school shooting, and weaves a beautiful story around it as if that incident is another character.
I loved that this romance was straight forward without any coy games or hidden agendas. The main characters had been through so much, they didn’t need to endure anything approaching excess drama or subterfuge.
Beyond the brewing romance, the bonds of friendship, old and new, are explored well. The characters are fleshed out and real- we know people just like these characters. I am happy to know that there are sequels to this book that will explore those friends and friendships further still.
