Hmmm...mixed thoughts. Somewhere between a 2 and a 3; currently a 2 because the disappointment is fresh.
THE ONES WE'RE MEANT TO FIND has a super interesting concept but a lackluster execution. I feel like the romances (if they can even be called that? I'm still not sure) also brought the book down; it would've been stronger if it was solely about the sisters. I related to Kasey's difficultly relating to people, but at times she almost came off as a caricature as opposed to a character. I found the science-y aspects confusing yet intriguing and I wish that the plot hadn't been derailed by Hero and Cee's thing. An important message and a gorgeous cover, but the story underwhelmed me. I also found the switching between third person and first person perspectives needlessly confusing, and wish that one perspective had been consistent throughout. I preferred Cee's storyline to Kasey's, and while the twist took me by surprise, I didn't find it good.
