The Ones We’re meant to find is a heart wrenching book set in the future. We have Cee who wakes up stranded on an island. She has no memory except that she has a sister that she is desperate to get back to. Her sister is Kasey, a brainiac who is set out to save the world. Until she broke the rules. Kasey is still grieving the loss of her sister, and her mother as well who died a while ago. The only thing I had trouble with in this book is that it only gives bits and pieces to the extent that I was confused throughout a good portion of it. When everything started to come to together near the end I had the “ahh, now it all makes sense moment. There were a few times where I was tempted to put it down because I was left with mor questions than answers. I’m glad I stuck through it until the end though because I thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up giving it 5 stars. It keeps you guessing and will pull at your heartstrings.
