The style of writing was completely unique compared to the other writing styles that I have read recently. I was intrigued by the cover before even reading the synopsis. Now that I have read the book, I am still confused and have many questions about the entire storyline. I am unsure if I fully understood what I read even though I was focused on it throughout the entire time that it was read.
I liked the way imagery came about throughout the writing and the idea of pods and working on the climate issues on Earth is always one that I find interesting. I am not sure if I missed something or if it was written in a way that I didn't understand, but I did not feel connected to these characters in any way. I understand being alone on an island and therefore learning a lot about yourself, but I felt that it wasn't true based on the words from the author throughout the story.
