This book is the telling of nine women who were resistance fighters that escaped a German forced labor camp during WWII told by one of the nine's great nieces.
This book is definitely history that you rarely get to read about, especially during the Holocaust and WWII. Unfortunately women's points of views during this time do not become well known. Definitely makes me intrigued to read more!

I enjoyed the quote "Hélène remembered those months as exhilarating. She was a young independent woman entrusted with an important role and in
charge of older men. Lives depended on her. There were moments
of high adrenaline like nothing she had ever experienced before."

I really like that the book cover shows the nine women's photographs.
