This book is heavy. I am a big fan of historical fiction, which is often written about WWII, so to read a true story about WWII is that much more harrowing.
I am so amazed and impressed with anyone that was part of the resistance, but as a woman, I am admittedly even more impressed with women that were involved with the resistance. Just in reading the first look, I'm amazed at what Helene endured and know that I would not have survived it. I am in awe of her strength and resolve.
I want to learn the rest of her story as well as the story of the 8 other women that escaped with her. This is the type of book that I will read and never forget.
