I really struggle with reading WWII history because it makes me so terribly sad for weeks. Though this book has a lot of awful, horrible details of true misery, it also carries a strong message about hope and strength during a horrific battle between good and evil. I'm still not sure I could handle reading the whole thing, but it is so well written that I'd like to try.
