The Newlyweds' Window is a short story anthology featuring twelve African writers, half of which are debut authors. These submissions were chosen from 512 entries, so this is really the cream of the crop. The stories range from being super creepy to fantastical. This is a great showcase of the writing that other countries and continents can do.

I could not put this anthology down once I picked it up. Each short story left me wanting more, which is unusual for me. It was also eye-opening to learn about different African cultures through the language and the setting that each author provided. I really liked that the cover reflected one of the short stories within the anthology. Some of the stories made me not want to turn my light off at night because the imagery was so creepy and vivid.

I'd recommend this book if you like creepy stories and learning about other cultures.
