This book is about Ancient Egyptian Culture and legends. The Author, Wilbur Smith tells this story with such literary genius. I loved the high adventure, exotic lands and loyalty mixed with goodness. I loved the Main Character, Hui. He was written well and I could place myself within the pages like I was there. I felt every emotion that he felt. Betrayal, sadness, horror and love. i loved the ending and am excited to find that there are several other novels in this world. I look forward to reading them as well.
There are a lot of characters and things going on within this book. There were times that I got confused and had to retreat back a few pages and reread to figure out what was going on. Not that the book is hard to understand, its just that at times it was overwhelming. This was a new writing style for me and I had to get used to it. By the end of the book I was able to flow with the story. for these reasons, i give this book 4 stars.
