Honestly, I am impressed. I looked at Wilbur Smith's "The New Kingdom" expecting to not be interested. I figured I'd review it, but I wasn't expecting to be interested. I was grabbed immediately by the map- set in Egypt, okay. Then I read the note to the reader- gathering more intrigue. Then I started reading- definitely engaged.
