Since the Mummy movies, I've always been intrigued by Egypt and it's history or mythology. The premise of this novel takes me back to my joyful memories of engaging in the old beloved series with Brendan Frazier. Though this plot sounds great, and I'd love to see how Hui rises in the end, I don't know if I can get behind the names of the characters chosen for this novel. Perhaps they're Egyptian like names that I'm just not familiar with, but they seem a little too fantasized for my taste and would probably distract me from the story to too much.
