I really enjoyed The Myth of Perpetual Summer! It is a little different from all the happily ever after books that I usually read but was a nice change. I love to read about the South as well as history so this book was a perfect mix. The characters were so well developed and I found myself rooting for ALL of them.......well almost all anyway. When reading about the South during this time period it always amazes me how truly terrible we treated blacks. It’s sad to think how children couldn’t be friends with the other. What a long way we’ve come with mental illness as well. I loved the epilogue as I was rooting for a happily ever after for Ross and Tallulah. Griff too of course. I’m still thinking about how things could have been different for Dharma and Walden.
