I loved the excerpt. It’s a bit chick lit and a bit heavy coming of age story. It’s got that feel that is similar to Fannie Flagg. It’s light in one spot and heavy the next. Full of atmosphere and style. I was enthralled from the first paragraph. It also reminded me a bit of Rebecca Wells’ work. The characters are vivid and relatable. I cared about the main character from the start. The lives described are full of emotions and drama. I liked the setting. It is well described without being overly described and to detailed. The cover is stunning. It has an old time feeling with a bit of rustic elegance. Reminded me of all my favorite chick lit book and chick flicks. Dramas with lots of heart and character development.
