I loved the beginning of this book. It is told in 2 timelines. One when they were children and one as adults. The family is dysfunctional. Lots of characters including parents, grandma, older brother and younger twins. The main chapter is Tallulah who is an adult living in California. She has come home to South Carolina because one of her brothers is accused of murder. No specific details have been given yet. I think Tallulah feels it was her responsibility to take care of the twins so this is somehow her fault. The family has many secrets which have not be revealed yet.
The writing is easy to read. Although some tough subjects, it does not become too wordy. My biggest complaint is there are many characters that can be confusing. I think that will improve as you get to know them. I am anxious to read this book.
