First of all, the cover is breathtaking. It makes me want to sit in my rocking chair on the porch and drink sweet tea. The 60's in the South were a tumultuous and very important time in America. Living in the South myself makes me even more fascinated with its rich and often heartbreaking history. The characters are already tearing at my heartstrings and I feel compelled to dive in and be a witness to their lives. Southern people have a charm and way about them you often can't resist. This book sounds wonderful, y'all!
