I love reading about historical facts! This first book in the Daughters of the Mayflower series tells about the danger and tragic losses the passengers went through when hoping new life in the new world.

The book is about romance and story. Reminds us of hard work and non-easy life when starting everything new. The difficulties and lack of sources in that period make it challenging, at the same time, endurance.

Mary Elizabeth's journey, full of simpliness, uncertainties and dangerous, is inspiring.

The history, religion views, sickness, death and hardship was so captivating and taught me a lot about how independence and religion can stand out against the odds. The bond between the two main characters is beautiful.
