The Mayflower Bride by Kimberley Woodhouse was an absolutely heartwrenching historical novel. I loved the simple beautiful cover and it was the first thing that drew me in to the novel and made me want to learn more. This was a very well written story about a group of people traveling to a new world to build a new life away from the persecution that they had previously endured. I enjoyed the main character Mary Elizabeth and her heart aching journey of finding love with William while at the same time losing many people she loves due to sickness from their long journey. She uses her faith to stay strong and helps William see that he can find his faith as well. Overall I really enjoyed this novel and would recommend if your looking for a good historical fiction.
