The thing I like the most about Bookish First is the ability to get the first reads on books that I may not have thought about. I can say that in this case, this book may not be one that I would pick up or purchase, but I can see that those who do like religious historical fiction may find it appealing.
There was a lot (A LOT) to read before we even get to the prologue. Usually I prefer things like this to be at the end rather than the beginning.
While this may not be a book for me, the writing style itself was good and I am sure that this book will have great success in the market it is intended for.
