The first line had me like WHAT??!! Don’t leave me hanging! I have wanted to dive into this book for awhile. With all the awesome reviews I need to read this! I’m captivated by the location! The bright yellow house with the scent of honeysuckles and primroses as well as Mariana’s description of her home in Athens overlooking the Parthenon. The crowded markets she filtered through as a child could not dissolve the pain she saw in her father’s eyes when he looked at her or past her.
Fast forward to future of the intimidation but curiosity of her group therapy with clients such as Henry. The intrigue of why is Henry standing outside watching her.
Then there is the professor mentioned on the back cover Edward Fosca with the suspicion of murdering students! How is all of this going to tie in with the rites of Persephone, the maiden?
I can’t wait!!
