I read this book because of the hype surrounding it on Bookstagram. Plus it had a lot of other appealing factors going for it... A mystery involving Greek mythology? Yes, please. Set at Cambridge University? Not as good as Oxford, but still a selling point! A secret society of beautiful female students? Sounds mysterious and amazing!
Overall the book was good, not great. There were a number of small things that bothered me throughout the book- often with these kinds of books, I do not agree with the decisions made by the characters. The ending was very good, though.
While there was a lot of hype surrounding this book on social media, there was also a lot of disappointment being vocalized as well. People were commenting that the debut book by this author (The Silent Patient) was far superior. I have yet to read that book, so I look forward to doing so! Since I enjoyed this book, I hope to love The Silent Patient when I get a chance to read it!
